HOW LONG IS THE LOGO VALID?

The 'Grénge Web' logo is valid for 2 years .

Note: Analysing web pages is a very dynamic and complex process. We can only offer an overview of the ecological footprint of a specific website; all figures related to energy, CO2, water, etc. should be considered as indicative figures.

We don't want you to get lost in the statistics, but rather focus on the holistic approach to a sustainable coding mindset. Due to the nature of the World Wide Web, local action has immediate impact on a global scale.

The internet is generating an increasingly negative ecological footprint, but it also has significant positive potential. Together, we can unleash this potential.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Each page of your website should be analysed individually and therefore the tests take time to be sufficiently thorough. The analyses are carried out by people with specific needs by the Autism Luxembourg, a non-profit social association.

You pay 50 cents per page analysed in addition to the base price:

• Private Web and Associations: 15
  
• Small enterprises (<15 employees): 35
• Large companies (>15 employees) 75
  
• Public institutions: 95

What is included?

• A non-profit social association will perform two analyses (pre-analysis & revaluation) and will give recommendations for each page of your website.
• You will receive an official certificate and logo to use for your own publications.
• You will become a member of the 'Grénge Web' initiative and be promoted as such.
• Your financial support will help to develop other activities within the framework of this project
• Most importantly: you are helping to build a new sustainable internet, while supporting local and social businesses.

HOW IS THE ANALYSIS DONE?

To perform the analysis, we developed our own tool based on the programs www.ecoindex.fr and www.ecometer.org, developed by the French collective greenit.fr, pioneers in the culture of a sustainable European web culture.

We believe that these are currently the most transparent, democratic and comprehensive tools available on the net (please let us know if you know / discover other useful 'open source' tools).

The technical analysis is done in collaboration by the association Autism Luxembourg. The Grénge Web initiative is delighted to be able to support Autisme Luxembourg through this project.

In addition, we are in contact with national and international experts (from Germany and France) who have agreed to share their knowledge and expertise with us.
